Alma Tipon’s journey is defined by resilience, passion, and an unwavering love for art. Growing up in a creative family, she was inspired by her father’s craftsmanship and her sister’s success as a full-time artist in the Philippines. These early influences fostered Alma’s deep appreciation for creativity and artistry.

Raised in a bustling family bakery, Alma gained firsthand experience in leadership and business management. Despite limited resources in a large family, she nurtured her dreams of exploring the world and expressing herself through art. A pivotal moment in her childhood came when she longed for a doll that her family couldn’t afford. Undeterred, Alma’s creativity blossomed as she crafted her own paper dolls, complete with intricately designed dresses and accessories. Her handmade creations became popular among her peers, showcasing her talent and resourcefulness from an early age.

Art became Alma’s refuge and driving force. She worked tirelessly to educate herself, using creativity as her compass through life’s challenges. Upon moving to the UK, Alma faced challenges due to visa restrictions, despite her educational background. Undeterred, she devoted herself to learning, honing her skills in art and marketing, and paving her own way with determination and perseverance.

Today, Alma Tipon is the founder of Paperdoll Art Studio and an accomplished professional artist based at Wimbledon Art Studios in London. Through her company, Alma operates two thriving studios where she hosts daily art classes that attract participants of all skill levels. Her vision extends beyond teaching; she is dedicated to empowering fellow professional artists by providing them with a platform to share their expertise and showcase their talents. This collaborative environment not only nurtures artistic growth but also fosters a vibrant, creative community that inspires both the artists and the students they guide.

Alma’s distinctive bird’s-eye view seascapes reflect her unique perspective on life and her ability to view the world from different angles. Inspired by her deep connection to the ocean and her love for surfing in tropical waters, these signature pieces capture the serenity, freedom, and dynamic movement of the sea. Through her art, Alma invites viewers to experience the tranquil beauty of the ocean from above, offering a fresh and captivating perspective. Each creation seamlessly blends her personal experiences with her artistic vision, celebrating both the raw power and fluid elegance of the sea.

Alma’s aim is to transport you to a holiday escape, where her paintings serve as a reminder of a better place. Above all, she hopes her work inspires you to pause, unwind, and never forget the importance of relaxation.

Her dedication and love for art have earned recognition. Alma’s art has been featured in prestigious publications such as London Life and House & Garden and showcased in renowned galleries, including Adlib in Wimbledon Village. With numerous commissions and appearances at art fairs across the UK, Alma has established herself as a celebrated artist.

Her journey—from crafting paper dolls that became widely loved to becoming a professional artist featured in exhibitions and magazines—serves as a testament to the power of perseverance and the transformative nature of art. Alma Tipon continues to inspire and create, celebrating resilience, creativity, and the beauty of self-expression.
